Menon Group

The Menon Group is affiliated with the Intelligent Electromagnetic Sensors Laboratory (IEMSL) and the Electromagnetics Group at Texas A&M University. The mission of the lab is to develop technologies to advance high-frequency (RF/microwave/millimeter wave) systems for ever-increasing, data-intensive sensing and communications applications. Our group is currently investigating for intelligence / cognition in radars.

April 15, 2025: Mariea Sharaf Anzum won the third place in poster presentation competition at 2025 WAMICON Conference for the poster "Memory Arrays for FMCW Radar Signal Processing: A Feasibility Analysis"
April 15, 2025: A paper from our group was accepted for publication and presented at the 2025 Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON). The paper is titled "Memory Arrays for FMCW Radar Signal Processing: A Feasibility Analysis" and authored by Mariea Sharaf Anzum and Arya Menon.
April 8, 2025: A paper from our group was accepted for publication and presented at the 2025 IEEE Texas Symposium on Wireless and Microwave Circuits and Systems. The paper is titled "A 2.4 GHz Adaptive radar Platform for Educational Activities on Cognitive Radars" and was authored by Roman Venegas, Wesley Miller. Ahsan Mehmud, Mariea S. Anzum, Arya Menon. Roman and Wesley also presented a poster at the conference.

Feb 2024: Shreeram designed movable microwave absorber structure that will decrease background reflections during indoor short-range radar measurements. Here are Shreeram, Wesley and Roman during the assembly process.

March 2024: Shreeram, Wesley, and Roman in-front of the microwave / millimeter wave absorber wall. The absorbers are from EMCShop PU-RAM-P200 with >35dB reflection loss between 3 and 100 GHz. The assembled absorber wall measures 6ft x 6ft.
